She says there is probably no clearer evidence of maturity than being able to allow -- even encourage -- your child to be in a relationship with someone you despise or even hate. She also say to look to the big picture and act calmly and maturely to give your child the best chance of growing up into being a healthy adult who has healthy relationships. Excellent advice.
